After the international break, Celtic face a crucial trip to Hampden Park against St Johnstone as Ange Postecoglou’s side look to secure a place in the Premier Sports Cup final in December.

The break probably comes at a good time for Postecoglou, as it will allow several first-team players to rest and recover from knocks picked up in the last few fixtures.

Two players who fans will likely want to see a return to the side in just over a week is Tom Rogic and Carl Starfelt.

The duo both sustained hamstring injuries in the lead-up to this international break, but there was hope that it would only rule them out for a few games with a swift return to come.

Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou provided his latest update on the two players yesterday, as well as giving fans some insight into the progress of Christopher Jullien and Greg Taylor, who have found themselves out for a more long-term spell.

Although the two players are in a race to find fitness for this game, it would come as a huge boost to have both back.

Rogic and Starfelt have become key figures in this Celtic side, which was particularly visible in the run of games after the last international break.

So here’s hoping we can see a return, under the lights at Hampden on the 20th of November,
