STEVEN GERRARD made the profound statement after their defeat to Hamilton that Celtic blinked with one eye on the night but they blinked with two. We’d just like to point out to Mr Gerrard at this time that blinking with one eye is usually referred to as ‘winking’.

The former Liverpool captain bringing back his January blinking patter to try and make sense of the situation he finds himself in.

The Rangers lost more ground on top of the table Celtic, even though the defending champions could only manage a draw away at Livingston.

Neil Lennon and his men went ahead early on at Almondvale but then two goals from Livingston put them in the driving seat. Celtic would come up big with an injury time goal to snatch a point at the death and add to their lead.

For The Rangers and Steven Gerrard, it’s a big opportunity missed and they know that.

Celtic were never going to go the rest of the season without dropping points and Livingston’s form at home this season has been fantastic, especially recently. We want to win every match but it’s not always possible. The draw felt like a win in the end and we move on to Saturday where we could pull 16 points clear, providing we don’t blink.
