CELTIC were frustratingly below par against Livingston on Sunday afternoon. For the first time in Ange Postecoglou’s tenure, there has to be serious questions asked.

Three away days in the SPFL and three defeats is utterly unacceptable regardless of the situation.

Celtic never troubled the home side to any great extent and were published by one of the very few attacks Livingston had in the game.

The Hoops were awful, no pace, no cohesion and failed to really run at Livingston who we know are a resolute team.

Celtic have a number of major injuries but this wasn’t an unlucky defeat, this game was a shocker and it can’t be sweeped under the carpet.

Ange has a lot of thinking to do when it comes to away days where teams will sit in against us and bully his Celtic side. If we can’t win these games more often than not then the league title will not be coming anywhere near Celtic Park at the end of May.

A win today would have put us within a point on our Glasgow rivals, instead they go for points clear with a draw at home to Motherwell.

  1. We have too many players with very little or no brains!! Giving away the most ridiculous free kicks when there is no danger whatsoever. Livi may be the worst team in the league but certainly deserved the victory!

  2. Celtic have to be either ruthless cun7s, or start to play more of their football in the opposision penalty box. Three away defeats this early in Angers first season is three to many. How can he improve?? The thing is he can’t even manage a draw today. Never even went with his strongest team (or team selection) made it worst with the subsistutions. His head must be wondering what went right before for him. The little bloke Kyogo knows. So does Anger now.

  3. You need to stand up for yourself and grind it out no fancy playing just in hard win the ball and put it in there net.

What a joke this game was they came to watch us win but our team are so slow to the ball and no one can read the game what a load of bullshit look give them High-octane fuel and turn them from wimps to men…

  4. Bringing on Bitton + soro shows what a bloody mess celtic are in – tell the wingers they are allowed to come off the wing – 2 men short playing out there

  5. Fkn joke, beaten by a pub team that shouldn’t be in the same league as us never mind the same pitch. Don’t want to hear about dominating possession it doesn’t win you games, putting the ball in the back of the net does , crap defence and powderpuff strike force , looks like it’s going to be a long hard season full of excuses.

  6. Unfortunately you don’t get time to build a team at Celtic. The fans are desperate for a run of good results and a combination of things has made things difficult. Absolutely gutted but Livi away is probably the last team we wanted to face today on their shitey plastic pitch. We are missing a spark going forward and ruthlessness at the back. Fingers crossed we get some Senior players back soon to bolster the side.

  7. Crap. Usual ridiculous comments from our own supporters. We lost nine players at the end of last season, the guy’s been in the door a couple of months, brought in twelve players, many of whom haven’t even played yet, and despite that we’re still at least 6 players short of a decent squad so now the vultures are out.

When Ange’s team plays well, it plays very, very well. But when his squad is understrength to start with and he has eight further players missing through injury or who are only half-fit, his team is not going to win. Few teams would, on a plastic pitch against an anti-football outfit like Livingston. It’s a three-transfer window job. Give the man time and get off his back.

    • Boli played 90 mins after not playing for how long we have a Greek centre who can’t play 15/20 mins because he hasn’t played in how long Have we been sold another pig in a poke

    • Excuses excuses-Livingston have a tiny fraction of our resources so we should be wiping the floor with any first team we put out, if we can’t cope with a few injuries then the replacements aren’t good enough to be at Celtic in the first place.
How come we seem to be the only team who can’t win on their artifical pitch?
I’m happy to give Ange time but our performances are getting steadily worse and the away results are beyond embarrassing now

  8. Jimbob tanktop wake up that performance today was humiliating not one celtic player has a football brain I was embarrassed to be a Celtic fan and ange didn’t have a clue good will is running out 3 away defeats unacceptable this cannot continue.

  9. It’s time we destroyed this crazy myth that the Celtic way is to ‘attack, attack, attack’ and outscore the opposition. Utter rubbish. EVERY good Celtic team was built on strong defenders and industrious/creative midfielders who knew when and how to defend. Until we get midfielders with steel and skill with a good engine,we are going nowhere of note anytime soon.
Murdoch/Auld…Aitken/McStay…Lambert/Burley/Thom…Petrov/Thompson…Connelly/Hay/Murray and so on. Every successful team (not just Celtic) has that..bar none.
Pleasing to the eye 50% of the time, and absent 50% of the time is what we’ve got, hence the defeats to Hearts,Livi,Rangers,Alkmaar,Betis etc…

  10. Doesn’t matter how many players we lost and how many we brought in , we should have more than enough for a team like that . The back room staff should be putting the manager wise to what we will come up against and how they will play, Time to move on Kennedy and the others.

  11. Just our luck that as soon as we find a brilliant on-form striker who knows exactly where to be in the box, he’s injured. Doesn’t matter how good a cross is there’s very rarely anyone in the right place.

  12. Nothing to do with the result yesterday, but I think playing with 2 wingers and 1 striker is a mistake. A solitary striker is more easily marked and if we have attacking full backs, we effectively have 4 attacking players wide. I hope that when everyone is fit we move to playing 2 strikers.
