Despite Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers serving his one-match touchline ban on Sunday away at Livingston, his side marched to a dominant 3-0 victory.

A Jamie Brandon own goal, a thorough Paulo Bernardo strike, and a simple Matt O’Riley finish helped the Hoops to victory in impressive style.

From the game, there were a host of positives for Celtic to take, and in his post-match interview with Sky Sports, John Kennedy brilliantly shut down Sky Sports’ reporter Luke Shanley.

Kennedy, who spearheaded things in the dugout for The Bhoys amid Rodgers’ absence, was asked about his team’s defensive form, and how Sunday was the first time in a few weeks since they kept a clean sheet.

The assistant gaffer, though, shut him down almost immediately, making a sarcastic remark about Shanley and the mainstream media’s focus on the negatives of Celtic’s game.

Kennedy wisely shifted things to talk about the plus-points such as the Celts’ recent attacking form. He said: [Sky Sports] “It’s always nice when you focus on the negatives.

“We’ve scored 17 goals outside of the Hearts game and we’ve scored another three today.

“Our defensive game is always important, we know that also gives us momentum as well.

“Today we were strong, we were really strong at the back, I don’t know if Livingston even had a corner.

“All-round it was very pleasing.”
