Celtic sent Jack Hendry out on loan to K.V. Oostende after failing to make it at Celtic. After performing well, the  Belgian club took up on their option to buy the defender, then, in the same window, sold him on to Club Brugge.

This season, the Scottish international played twenty-five times in the league, and six games in the Champions League group of death.

Now, after a successful debut season with the Belgian champions, Hendy has been linked with a move to Burnely, where former Anderlecht boss Vincent Kompany has taken charge. [Daily Record]

The side that was relegated to the Championship last season is embarking on a new era, with the former Manchester City captain at the wheel.

Celtic Defender Didn’t Do Enough

Jack Hendry has improved since he departed Celtic, but suggestions that Celtic should’ve kept him and gave him another chance are just wrong.

he had his chance at Parkhead and failed to impress. He was subsequently shipped off in an attempt to revitalise his career.

Fair play to Jack, he’s managed to do so, he’ll see moving away from Celtic as the best decision he made in his career.
