CELTIC WOMEN STAR Jacynta is hoping there will be a sizeable turnout as the Hoops take on Glasgow City on Sunday.

It’s a league clash that could shape the season for the ghirls. They currently sit in second place after defeating Rangers last Friday and are on course to play Champions League football next season.

But, Fran Alonso and his side are aiming higher and are looking to claim the trophy and win the league.

A win on Sunday would be monumental for the Hoops, seeing them go top of the table on goal difference.

It’s going to be a tough task to beat Glasgow City, who are the only unbeaten side in the league, and that’s why the team are hoping they can get the full benefits of a rocking home crowd.

Speaking to CeltsAreHere.com on Friday, Jacynta said:

“When there is a crown it gives you more motivation to play and win for the fans.

“We’re hoping to get some fans down at the game on Sunday and it’ll give us the extra push to get the result.”

With Celtic playing away from home this weekend, you can still watch the Hoops.

Kick-off at the Excelsior Stadium is at 4.10 on Sunday and tickets for the encounter can be bought here.

Tickets are priced as follows:

  • Adult – £8
  • Concession – £4
  • Combined Adult & Child – £10
