Staying at a single club like Celtic for such an extended period is an achievement in itself, but Forrest has distinguished himself further by consistently delivering pivotal moments on the pitch and proving his worth as an integral part of the team year after year.

Forrest capped off Celtic’s dominant 3-0 victory over Ross County by scoring the final goal of the match. Speaking after the game, Forrest expressed both joy and a sense of relief at opening his account for the season.

He said: “I’ve had a few chances this season and I’ve not managed to score so there is relief and I’m buzzing to score and get off the mark this season.

“I’ve not scored many with my head, but I will take anything,” he remarked on Celtic TV.

After reaching the 100 club last season, for both goals and assists, he’s writing his name into the Celtic history books.

You could see after the goal had gone in the smile went ear to ear as he celebrated with his teammates. It would have been a record that was playing on the back of his mind for some weeks and months now.
