Both men have done well in the position to date and have merited a start for the semi-final but only one man can get the nod.

Frimpong has been a livewire in the three games he’s played for Celtic and gave Celtic a lot of energy down the right hand side.

Elhamed gives Celtic experience, a solid defensive foundation but is still able to get forward and swing some great balls into the box.

Whoever starts there will be a consensus among the support that either bhoy is good enough to do the job. It’s all about how much responsibility the Celtic boss wants to put on the shoulders of young Frimpong. He was playing developmental football up until September this year – to put the player into a semi-final would be an incredible show of faith.

At the same time – if Elhamed is fit he’s done very little wrong not to get the nod.
