Former Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley has delivered his verdict on who he believes will win the Scottish Premiership title.

Currently, only two points separate first and second at the top of the table. The Celts do sit a place behind their city rivals, but a wealth of football is yet to be played.

Further, manager Brendan Rodgers has been over the course several times, along with Callum McGregor and James Forrest. Ledley is bemused as to why the latter isn’t regularly playing, but he does think his old team still have a better squad than their rivals.

Although it seems that Rangers have the momentum, the Welshman thinks that Rodgers can deliver another title, despite not having the players he perhaps wants.

As quoted by SunSport, he said: “At the moment it’s probably not the team he wants and hopefully he will have other transfer windows to bring other players in.

“But Brendan can still do this.

“It’s difficult just now, but Celtic are still firmly in the running and I still believe they have the better team on paper. But it’s about getting over the present blip.”

Despite winning eight out of their last ten games and drawing the two others, Celtic’s performances haven’t been there over the past few weeks and even months. The football they are playing isn’t getting fans off their seats and whether that is down to the manager or players, things need to change, and fast.
