Chris Sutton has reacted to the news Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart will be retiring at the end of the season. Joe made the surprising announcement on Thursday, when many believed there would be a decision taken at the end of the season.
His announcement removes all doubt about his future and lets him get on with the final part of his illustrious career.
After hearing the news, Chris Sutton took to social media.
“Sad to see Joe Hart retiring at the end of the season. He’s had a brilliant career. Top goalkeeper, top guy,” Sutton penned on his X account.
Celtic’s are currently second spot in the league, snug in second place and only a whisker away, two points to be exact, from Rangers. This season’s been a bit of a rollercoaster with the team struggling to find their rhythm, making the race for the top spot in Scottish football even more of a nail-biter. But, it looks like Joe Hart hanging up his gloves might just be the spark they needed.
Celtic play on Sunday against Motherwell and it will be a real acid test if they’re going to put up a fight for this title or they are going to go out with a whimper.
