John Kennedy has been linked to a few Hoops exits over the past few months, but his most recent one is starting to bear fruit.

It’s now emerged that Celtic are expecting Midtjylland to make an approach for the Celtic assistant manager as they look to replace Bo Henriksen. [Football Scotland]

The former defender hasn’t received an official approach yet, but the club are ‘braced’ for Ange’s right-hand man to hold talks with the Danish club.

Former Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko is the captain of the side that has Kennedy high up on their list of potential managers.

Celtic Don’t Want to Lose Kennedy.

John Kennedy is an extremely highly rated coach at Celtic and has worked beside some top-class managers.

There have been expectations within the club that one day the 38-year-old will step up and become the football club’s manager.

It’ll also disrupt Celtic’s season if he was to leave just now. The coaching staff is settled, but if he was to take up the opportunity, Ange would likely be forced to reshuffle his coaching staff or go back into the market.
