Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph provided fans with a late-night update over where he understands Celtic sit going into the final 24 hours of the transfer window.
Taking to Twitter, Joseph stated that as it stands, both Georgios Giakoumakis and Filipe Jota would be joining the club, with Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie going the other way, leaving the Hoops on the final day.
However, the concerning part to some fans might be that the journalist also mentioned that it could be it for the Hoops in terms of incomings on deadline day.
Celtic are braced for Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard leaving tomorrow. They have replacements lined up in Georgios Giakoumakis and Filipe Jota – that’s the priority before the transfer deadline. That could be it, though, unless there’s a shift in the market tomorrow.

Both Giakoumakis and Jota look like solid additions, but reinforcements were still needed even with them joining the club. Now, add into that two key players departing for down south.
In particular, several different reports have suggested Ange Postecoglou will be after a central defender on a loan deal.
At this stage, it remains to be seen what sort of business Celtic will be conducting on the final day of the summer window. But fingers crossed we can bring in some much-needed additions to add to Ange’s squad.
We need them both in today Georgios Giakoumakis and Filipe Jota along with a big 6.5 CH that can boss our box and a big strong work horse in midfield go get them Celtic
Anger, will have to get used to being used. And getting beaten by squads with less money and more desire to win and not being defeated by the teams around, above and below them (or thousands of miles away.)
That’s the poisoned chalice that CFCPLC has become in today’s market. A couple of high scoring results against minnows, they are OK in pre-season. But as the games start to stack up (and the injuries) One fit team with some additions is needed. But like before, the support is supposed to just pay up for substandard football, players and just slog along onto a team with no grit and determination. Time for Celtic to transform, can’t wait three years or so.
Same old, panic buying again, get tried n trusted players 1st n foremost, start with defence, need a left back n centre haf
