NEIL LENNON provided an update on Jozo Simunovic with the player sitting out the Aberdeen game on Sunday.

Celtic won 2-1 in a nervy game up north but before the game the Celtic manager was asked about the whereabouts of his defender with a returning Nir Bitton taking his place.

“He’s ok, we’re hoping he’ll be fit for Copenhagen,” he told Sky Sports.

Jozo has been part of the back the back three lately and would have played today if he was fit. A constant knee problem means Celtic need to carefully manage the player to make sure he can be available for the big games.

Celtic managed to grind out the result against Aberdeen in his absence but we wonder if the Croatian will be used on Thursday in the Europa League – we have a sneaky suspicion Neil Lennon will play four at the back with just two centre backs; Ajer and Jullien.
