Karamoko Dembele has sent a goodbye message to the Celtic support and claimed the best is yet to come as he signs on at FC Brest.

The winger spent his entire childhood and teenage years at Celtic where fans were given glimpses of his ridiculous skills. Supporters had been following the player for years but when it came time to break into the first team, things never went to plan.

Lack of game time at youth level wasn’t good for anyone’s development. Lockdown and the ten in a row season meant his chances were very limited under Neil Lennon. When Ange Postecoglou came on the scene, the winger went down with a bad knee injury that required surgery and a long rehab period.

Dembele’s contract ran out at the end of last season and at that point there was a parting of the ways. There were no talks from either side of a new or extended deal at Celtic Park.

Now at Brest, the youngster has thanked everyone who supported him and wants to now show what he can do in France.

We wish him all the best.
