KARAMOKO DEMBELE is yet to show fans what he can really do. It seems like a lifetime ago since the player’s YouTube clips went viral.

Now 19, the winger still hasn’t started a competitive game for Celtic this season. Injury has hampered the player, but he should be knocking at the manager’s door now that he is back.

For a variety of reasons, it’s fair to conclude that the England youth international has failed to live up to expectations at Celtic. With months left on his contract, it’s unlikely he ever will.

Since Dembele’s return from the injury he sustained in pre-season, the player has been involved in a few squads but is yet to play competitively under Postecoglou. The winger has played a couple of times with the B side and has scored once from the spot.

CeltsAreHere understands there’s no sign of Karamoko renewing his hoops contract at the moment.

It looks like the winger will be leaving the club in the summer unless something fundamentally changes between now and then. Celtic will receive a compensation fee from Karamoko’s next club if he does sign somewhere else.

Of course, Dembele and his reps are free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with whomever they want – there’s been no reports to suggest any possible destinations to this point.
