Celtic assistant manager John Kennedy has batted off any claims that striker Odsonne Edouard will lose focus, even if he wants to leave the club in the summer transfer window.

As quoted by the Daily Record, after changing agents during the week speculation began to around the Frenchman. However, during the pre-match press conference for Monday’s game against Hibs, Kennedy wasn’t having any suggestions around Edouard’s focus and commitment to the cause.

When Kennedy was asked if he had concerns over the striker’s motivation, he said: “No, not all.

“It was the same last season when we had the rumours and everything else, but Odsonne is fully committed to what we’re doing here.

“We’ve had chats and discussions with him generally and he’s very motivated to succeed here.

“He realises what he’s been given by the club and everybody inside Celtic. He’s been given a real platform to become what he has and he’s very thankful for that.

“Whether it is this summer or three or four years’ time, Odsonne Edouard will give everything he’s got to what we’re trying to do here.”

So far this season, the 22-year old striker hasn’t been at his best giving an accurate representation of Celtic’s season overall.

In recent weeks, he has started to regain a little form finding the net on multiple occasions in the month of December.

After giving ourselves an extremely hard task, when it comes to winning the league title for the 10th reason in a row Edouard will be crucial in getting us back on track.

Hopefully, we can see him back to his best once again, starting with Monday evenings game at Celtic Park against the Edinburgh side.
