Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has earned praise from Hearts forward Josh Ginnelly ahead of both sides facing each other in the space of a few days.

After wrapping up a 5-1 victory in Paisley, Celtic can now look ahead to back-to-back matches against Hearts in the league and Scottish Cup.

Both matches will likely prove to be a tricky test but if Celtic can get by both ties unscathed and book their place in the semi final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden they will find themselves in an even stronger position for the remaining weeks of the Scottish Premiership season.

Kyogo Furuhashi has currently hit 24 goals this season and has been pivotal to the Hoops as he also scored both goals in the final of the Viaplay Cup against Rangers.

Kyogo - Celtic Striker

His performances have been noticed by many as Hearts attacker Josh Ginnelly has dubbed him as the ‘best in the league’.

It’s very hard to argue with the Tynecastle man as he revealed that he has been studying Kyogo’s movement to boost his own game.

Ginnelly will be a danger for Celtic as he has scored five goals in his last six appearances which shows that Kyogo’s magic even shines elsewhere.

“But I watch other strikers – and the best in the league is probably Kyogo. He is always in that right position.

“Look at his goals in last week’s final, he is always in that area. He’s a great player so I study some of the stuff that he does.

“And it worked for me on Saturday. As a player, it’s what you do. It’s not by mistake that these other strikers get into these good positions – it’s something they actually look for,” said Ginnelly as quoted by [Football Scotland].

It would be even better if the Japanese forward added to his goal tally in both these games as he targets 30 goals for the season and show Ginnelly exactly why he has been taking note.
