KYOGO FURUHASHI has sent out a message onto social media this afternoon ahead of tonight’s massive Glasgow Derby.
The striker will NOT be in the squad for the game due to injury. Ange and Kyogo both risked a longer-term injury using kyogo in the Cup final and then against St Johnstone just before the winter break. The cup final was a gamble worth taking and it appeared Kyogo would be back sooner rather than later, however, it was the game against St Johnstone where Kyogo pulled up very early that’s set his recovery back.
Celtic might have Daizen Maeda in the squad, all depending on how his jet lag is after landing back in Glasgow this morning.
Kyogo is out but he’ll be in the stands watching this one, willing his teammates to victory!
Celtic could go top of the league with a win on Wednesday evening. It’s not going to be an easy game and a lot of the new bhoys will have to ride the wave of the atmosphere around them if we’re to be successful.
We ran them close with half a team in August, let’s hope we can do the business without our star striker.
