Celtic were 6-0 victors at Parkhead on Sunday afternoon. The Hoops were rampant as they bounced back from a disappointing European defeat midweek.

Despite scoring six, one of the main talking points post-match was the challenge from Aberdeen defender Slobodan Rubezic on Kyogo. The Montenegrin internationalist completely wiped out the striker.

Because of it, the 28-year-old had to be brought off just over five minutes into the second 45. According to BBC reporter Kheredine Idessane, he was left incensed by the forceful challenge. Idessane said (BBC): “The Japanese star was extremely groggy and unsteady as he was helped past me up the tunnel. And he refused the Dons’ defender’s offer of a handshake. Furuhashi very unhappy at the challenge, understandably so.”

It is very much out of character for Kyogo to refuse to shake hands with an opponent. Usually, the centre-forward is first to help a player from the other team that he himself has hurt.

His refusal to make peace with Rubezic goes to show the brutal extent to which he was hurt by the 23-year-old. After the match, Brendan Rodgers confirmed Kyogo won’t go away on international duty with Japan as he aims to get back to fitness for Motherwell not next Saturday but the one after that.

  1. Kyoko dosent get any protection from collum last wekk he was grab by the throat penalty never checked good to see our defence played really well taylor still not stopping crosses thats his main job johnstone showed up well his perfomaces been up to his high standards still best right back in league maybe he with a out and out winger helped his cause boyd says aberdeen awful well thats bitterness he was stonie faced half time and especailly full time maybe watching Celtic show they are not gone yet some of the passing was top class been poor up till today id say boyd was getting noised up by some Celtic supporters all through the game you reap what you sow your statement at the end shiws you cant have a nuetral out look aberdeen will be up for it when rangers come to town you still have your refs 3 penalties yesterday one was never

  2. Refereeing is now an idle pastime that they get paid serious money for. The health and safety of the players is non-existant. Kyogo’s assault was handled as if it happened several times a match.
The man in the middle, or as I prefer to call them “pricks with the whistle” appeared totally disinterested. He was too busy chatting to Ibrox about the penalties he would be awarding Trfc. Bear in mind they show no shame in smiling, nodding, or approving funny handshakes. Is it true they put bets on the games they referee?
Time to get rid of these Neanderthals, Fiddlers. Bigots and CHEATS.
