Celtic made hard work of things as they just about got away with three points on Saturday against Motherwell.

The Bhoys dominated the game, but they couldn’t kill off Motherwell despite Kyogo taking the lead in the first half. An incredible act of self harm by the Bhoys in green saw the Steelmen get a goal from nothing. A miscommunication between Juranovic and Hart culminated in a calamitous own goal to bring the game level.

It was a stunning strike from Reo Hatate that ultimately won the game for the Hoops. The Japanese midfielder with an absolute belter of a goal to make it 2-1.

Kyogo had a lot of chances to put the game behind doubt, at one point we thought he’d made it 3-1 only for the ball to hit off his shoulder and go wide from close range.

Celtic were the better side on the day but Motherwell were hanging in there until the end. A slack pass by Reo Hatate allowed Tierney in at the death only for Callum McGregor to bundle him over and see red. That tackle saved the game and the three points.

After the game Kyogo acknowledged what a tough victory it was.

The Champions league is up next for Celtic. A trip to Germany where they take on Leipzig in Matchday three. We have to be more clinical if we want to get anything from the game.
