DUNDEE have this afternoon delivered more clarity to their position and how things played out from Friday onwards as regards to their ballot.

It was their intention to vote no on the proposal and they believed they had submitted the vote electronically. It transpired after 5pm on Friday when the SPFL counted the votes, they did not have Dundee’s. The SPFL then posted the results as they stood with Dundee being the ones not to have declared.

The Dundee board then seen there was a change of heart by two Premiership clubs they had spoke to about the proposal which gave them pause.

They then ceased all contact with outside influences to find the best way forward for Dundee and the SPFL.

They have now used this non-vote to hold things up and discuss reconstruction. The main crux of the argument being relegation would be unfair to any side currently at the bottom.

They also addressed the online innuendo about talking to either Celtic or The Rangers with this short and sharp message:

Also, we are sorry to disappoint all of the conspiracy theorists by saying that we were never exposed to any ‘deals’ from either of the Glasgow giants. They both acted, as we would expect, with complete professionalism.

The SPFL have let this go on enough and should bin this proposal, working with clubs to find a better solution.
