The loan deal for Diego Laxalt should be pretty straight forward. However, there is one sketchy part of the deal which will likely be discussed between both parties this evening.
Celtic and Milan will do battle in the Europa League but unlike domestic loan deals, UEFA will not allow clubs to put restrictions on another team they’re coming up against in European competition. This means Laxalt would be allowed to play against his parent club, just like Patrick Robert’s did against Man City and just like Mo Bangura did against Celtic for Stockholm.
Could there be a gentleman’s agreement in place for the two ties. This would stray into a little bit of sketchy territory, because in essence Milan would be influencing an opposition side in the eyes of UEFA even if Celtic do agree not to play the 27-year-old.
The player is in London and is expected in Glasgow this evening according to Sky Sports Journalist Anthony Jospeh.
AC Milan’s Diego Laxalt is undergoing a medical in London ahead of a loan deal to Celtic.

He is due to arrive in Glasgow later.
It's up to the clubs to agree whether he can play against AC Milan in their #UEL group games. https://t.co/L0KEmo36m0
This sounds like a great deal the BOSS gets in the cover now we have two, i see they are grabbing big straws to try and stop 10 in a row wage bill going higher by the hour..
Now can we get this show on the road and play every game like we want to win it from the kick off……
It is fairly obvious to even the less knowledgeable football fans given that Mo Bangura played against Celtic for Elfsborg while on loan from us and Patrick Roberts against Man City when on loan to us from them that there is no reason for Laxalt to have any special agreement in place.
