Celtic have this evening confirmed Jack Aitchison has left the club, signing a three year deal with Barnsley.
The striker is Celtic’s youngest ever goal scorer when he came on during Ronny Deila’s final game in charge.

Everyone at #CelticFC wishes @JackAitchison7 every success during his time at Barnsley ?
Since then, he’s found game time hard to come by and has been loaned out several times. It’s a real shame as Jack has the quality but Celtic’s youth system is suffering greatly from a lack of competitive, meaningful matches.
With so many striker’s at the club, it seems an impossible task to climb up the ladder at present. Right now you could have any of the four first team strikers starting and nobody would bat an eyelid. Edouard, Klimala, Ajer and Griffiths can all be game changers on their day.
Aitchison will now join up with his new teammates for this season and we can’t do anything else but wish him all the best for the future. We hope he smashes it down south!
