Celtic have been linked with Ireland international Robbie Brady since his departure from Burnley this summer. [Glasgow Times]

CeltsAreHere.com have always been keen to stress the noises about Celtic looking to sign Brady had come from the media other than any real, substantiated interest the club had in the player.

It’s proven to be correct, Brady signed for Bournemouth on Monday morning – putting an end to the headlines once and for all.

Robbie will now link up with former Celtic star Ryan Christie at the Championship club. Scott Parker and his men looking to get promoted to the Premier League this term.

Brady was never a viable option for Celtic. Even if we did sign him, it would’ve taken the player months to get up to speed.

Celtic still have to work on their squad in January, but it can’t be a numbers game, we need quality through the door. Signing people just because they’re available is not the best way to do business.

The Hoops had a good result at the weekend against Motherwell and have cut the gap at the top to just four points. More injured players are due back soon and could really help the team go on a run.
