Celtic have been their own worst enemies sometimes this season. The MSM will have you believe Celtic are on a decline while the rest of the teams around them have improved. This is fake news. The only team that looks to have improved this season is Kilmarnock.

Once the Bhoys are in full swing, there is no team in Scotland close to them. The obvious indicator is the league table. They say tables don’t lie. But some people can read too much into league positions way too early in a season. Some teams have won the league twice this season already. Some people have ignored Celtic’s games in hand.

At the fulltime whistle today (after another masterclass) Celtic will sit pretty going into Christmas. They are 3 points clear of their nearest challengers Aberdeen, with a game in hand over them too. The two will go head to head on boxing day. A short trip to Ibrox will follow the trip to Pittodrie. Two tough games no doubt.

For everyone that has used the league table to push the narrative of a resurgence from Ibrox and Steven Gerrard, what do they make of the current standings?

Looks a lot like the natural order.

  1. Fantastic to see Scott Bain in goal today. The defence is much more assured with him in goal as they trust him. Solid goalkeeping rather than flashy and brilliant and quick distribution.
