It’s the famous line from the legendary Tom the commentator and today we think there will be many Celtic fans imitating the Celtic Park soundbite as we celebrate nine in a row.

Celtic had just been beaten at Celtic Park by our Glasgow neighbours when the lines came from the away commentator.

‘Look at your face, look to your laurels.’

‘We’re back, we’re back with a bang! And we’re coming after you, we’re coming after you’

Let’s have a watch:

The over-celebrating, the general hype of that day was bought into by most while Celtic got on a plane to Dubai and began to map out their route to the title.

It would take Celtic to thirteen points clear in March before the shutdown was enforced. Celtic were relentless after the break while others continued to fall away.

This made it an easy decision to crown Celtic champions due to eight games being unable to be played.

I hope Celtic fans will be looking to their laurels today when the title is announced. History is about to be made.

  1. See here, you learn nothing from a win but three points and kudos. From a draw that you maybe could have won more than a point. From a loss, no points and a renewed will to win. A loss at home at your derbie rivals. The will to go on winning and get over the line with points to spare. That’s how winning is done. Its not always going to be all celebrations and trebles. But for now. PRICELESS. The foe have the desire to win, but no gumption in the long run.
