At this stage, everyone knows Mikael Lustig limped off for Sweden during his nation’s 2-1 Euro 2020 qualifying win over Romania when he sustained a knock. With Kieran Tierney and Boyata also dropping out for their countries it caused some panic for Celtic’s back line selection options ahead of next Sunday’s Glasgow derby.

With no clear news on the three players so far, it is anyone’s guess if they will make next weeks showdown. But Lustig has given some hope with his latest social media post.

If Lustig can make the game against Norway on Tuesday he should be in contention for next Sunday. He might not be everyone’s first choice right-back but having the player available for selection will be a boost for Neil Lennon. There are not too many Celtic defenders who have the experience of Glasgow Derbies compared to Mikael.

Reports are also suggesting that Boyata will make the Celtic squad too. Celtic played their last derby game at Ibrox with a makeshift defence and it cost them dearly.
