SKY SPORTS is backing up reports Celtic are on the verge of signing midfielder Reo Hatate, but they’ve also delivered an update on the other two players Celtic are pursuing from the J-League.

The bhoys are also chasing Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi and are right now confident they can land all three players early in January.

The trio are all signings Ange Postecoglou has recommended and because the J-league has finished for the season, it’s easier to get these players in this January than it would be buying players from Europe where the seasons are still ongoing.

The success of Kyogo so far this season has opened the door for more players to come into the club from Japan and really hit the ground running.

The Sky Sports report also claims Celtic are looking to get their January shopping done very early, so the players can bed in over the winter break.

It would be good news for the team and supporters if the club got a head start this time around. January is not usually a window where Celtic excel.
