Celtic’s incoming winger Maryan Shved was powerless as he watched from the stands on Sunday when his side took on Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukranian League.

Karpaty were battered 5-0 by the Ukranian giants on Sunday afternoon.

Shved is one of Karpaty’s best players and the winger was desperate to play in the tie. There was other loan options available to Shved and Celtic when he signed for the club but the midfielder wanted to finish the season with Kapraty.

The club has not yet released details on the extent of the player’s injury and it will be of concern to Celtic and the fans with Maryan set to join Celtic before the summer.

Hopefully it was just a precaution and he can see the rest of the season out with his club before coming to Celtic.

Celtic have some big decisions of their own to make in the summer, a new manager plus a rebuilding job on the squad must happen if they bhoys are to continue their domestic dominance.

  1. Who ever it is they will need money let us say Neil Lennon gets the job as he is fav for job he will have to ditch all the dead wood he will need around £20 million to bring in three maybe four new players for the start of next season after the loan players go home and with dead wood players 11 or 12 will be gone but the bulk of the players he will still have there so give him the £20 million so he can bring in three or four players he needs to bring home 10 in a row….
