Former Celtic midfielder and now Celtic fan Massimo Donati has hailed Neil Lennon’s permanent appointment as perfect as the bhoys look to bag ten in a row over the next couple of years.

The Italian who was signed by Gordon Strachan back in the 00s is never far away from the club and always keeps up to date with Scottish Football and Celtic.

The former Champions League goal hero is very positive about Neil Lennon taking charge again and thinks the Irishman will do his utmost to deliver nine in a row this coming season.

“I think he is the perfect person to manage Celtic at this moment in time when they are focused on doing 9-in-a-row and they want to make history not just in Scotland.” Donati told Football Scotland.

“He knows the club very well and he is a Celtic man, he loves everything about the club. I think he will do his best for the club and the players as well.

“The other club of Glasgow this season did a bit better than the last one but maybe they can do better again. But I think Celtic is always in front of them at the moment, in terms of the players and the club.”

Donati is not your typical ex-Celtic player in the press who wants to be overly negative. It’s a refreshing change of pace. There’s no doubt Celtic fans know Neil Lennon will try his hardest to deliver on their objectives in the coming season.

With Champions League qualifiers coming as early as mid-July, the Celtic manager has to hit the ground running.
