KYOGO FURUHASHI has made it through Japan’s World Cup Qualifier match against Australia without picking up any injuries. The game resulted in a win for Japan, defeating Austailia 2-1.

Tom Rogic has also completed his International duties injury-free, meaning himself and Kyogo are both in contention for Motherwell on Saturday.

Whether the duo will start or not is another question, both will fly long haul home from Japan.

Kyogo Furuhashi started on the bench but was subbed on in the 60th minute and played as a striker. He was unable to add to the scoresheet, however he did contribute to Japan’s winner.

Tom Rogic came close to assisting an equaliser for the Socceroos, but Taagart’s effort was pushed onto the post by Gonda – the Japanese shot-stopper. He then had a shot from the edge of the box, but the keeper was left untroubled and the game remained 1-0 to Japan.

After the entertaining meeting, Japan sits third in the AFC World Cup Qualifying table, with the Socceroos leading the way.
