LIVERPOOL STAR Andy Robertson has jokingly said Brendan Rodgers owes him one after the double treble winning Celtic manager walked out on the club before the end of this season.

Robertson is a massive Celtic fan and was as gutted as anyone when the Irishman left the club to go to Leicester. As fate would have it, Brendan Rodgers could do Liverpool the biggest of favours on Monday night when he takes his Leicester side to the Etihad. If the Leicester take any points off Pep Guardiola’s side then it would hand Liverpool the advantage in the Premier League title race.

“I don’t know [if I will watch it]. I’ve not shied away from the other ones, it’s not worked, so maybe I’ll try something different.” Robertson told SunSport.

“Look, if I watch it or don’t watch it, it’s not going to make a difference. I’m a Celtic fan, Brendan’s left us so he maybe owes me one!”

Brendan Rodgers has two draws against Manchester City in the past two years with his Celtic side playing Pep’s team to a 3-3 draw at Celtic Park and a 1-1 draw at the Etihad.

It will be a nervy night for the Liverpool squad and Andy, that’s for sure. Will Brendan do his old club a favour?
