Celtic has already completed the signings of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Ben Siegrist this summer but after Alexandro Bernabei has completed his medical in Scotland, his name could soon join the list.

The 21-year-old left-back will sign a 5-year contract, which will expire in the summer of 2027.

The player’s arrival announcement is imminent after touching down in Scotland on Thursday, with a fee between Celtic and Lanus agreed, and a 10% sell-on fee negotiated. It seems the deal is at the final stages.

It’s an exciting singing, one that many fans are over the moon to pull off. The player is young, has bags of potential, and is capable of walking into the Celtic team, it seems. Bernabei is also familiar with the inverted role. He’ll be the first Argentine to play for Celtic.

The Ban Situation

Having received a two-game ban in his last game for Lanus, he’s already served one match on the sidelines.

Many fans believe that Celtic could hold off until the 1st of July, after he’s sat out two games, to avoid the player missing the opening clash against Aberdeen.

However, if he signs the contract before his two-game suspension is up, it’s not the worst-case scenario, with Greg Taylor more than capable of stepping in.
