The Ibrox boss praised “outstanding” Celtic, conceding that there is a low probability that the league title would head to the south side of Glasgow. It’s like he’s living a couple months in the past!

He was keen to ensure he praised Celtic, almost as if he’s trying to get into the players’ minds and relax them ahead of the first cup final of the season against The Rangers.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference for their away match to Livingston, Beale was keen to talk in-depth about the two Glasgow side’s final next weekend. [STV]

“If you look at probability (of winning the league), the probability is low.

“The games are running out, there are not many games left.

“I think we are in very good form, so Celtic are, therefore, also in very good form and their form has run longer than ours, so you would have to say its outstanding form.

“But momentum can change things in football, so all we have to do is keep doing our job and hope the momentum changes.

“If it doesn’t we still have to win games for Rangers and build our team stronger for the cup competitions and what’s to come.

“We cannot take out foot off of it, and that’s why I was little a bit annoyed at the weekend’s performance.”

A winner has to emerge next Sunday, with Beale still to lose a match with his Ibrox side. Although they have struggled to get the three points most weeks, they’ve still managed it. Ange Postecoglou will be going all out to ensure his side retain their League Cup and avoid a Glasgow Derby defeat at Hampden.
