Celtic winger Mikey Johnston is believed to be weighing up his options as he is expected to go out on loan during this window [Football Scotland].

Ange Postecoglou is keen for the 23-year old to get much needed game time which he simply cannot guarantee at Celtic.

With this is mind, it is believed that Postecoglou has given the green light for Johnston to spend the season elsewhere with a number of clubs said to be interested.

There is much talent within the attacking ranks at Celtic and it could be assumed that there are at least four players likely to feature more under the Hoops boss this season with Jota, Maeda, Abada and Forrest all likely to get game time.

In turn, it is believed that the Scottish champions are also interested in Barcelona winger come attacking midfielder Alex Collado who is looking to leave the club.

The Hoops have already been linked with Sead Haksabanovic meaning that it is possible that an attacking player may still join the club within the final few weeks of the transfer window.

In the past few seasons, Johnston has been hampered by injuries meaning that it will be important for him to get a regular run of games and challenge himself.

There was an initial link to former Celtic gaffer Ronny Deila’s side Standard Liege but there are also other options which Johnston is pondering.
