ISRAEL coach Willi Ruttensteiner has shown absolutely no respect for Nir Bitton, Celtic or Neil Lennon by calling the player up to the squad even though he’s still recovering from an injury.

Nir had to be subbed off during Celtic’s Europa League tie against Sarajevo and missed out on the St Johnstone game last weekend.

While it’s not a long term injury — Neil Lennon used the word ‘impossible’ when it came to Nir’s chances of playing for his country with the injury.

Ruttensteiner was asked the question at his press conference and he seemed rather nippy as he confirmed his whole squad was available for selection.

“Let me say that I will confirm no player to you.” Ruttensteiner told SunSport.

That would not be clever from my side.

“We have 23 players here – one player has Corona and is isolated – and every one of them can be in the first XI.

“So that is my statement.”

This international period is proving to be a nightmare for Celtic. Between positive COVID tests and disrespectful coaches doing what they like with our players.

Edouard and Christie look set to miss out on the Glasgow Derby after Eddy tested positive and Ryan has been forced to self isolate because he was in close proximity to Stuart Armstrong who tested positive.
