Celtic are set to release a new DVD in early November celebrating our last minute winners throughout the years.

It’s something Celtic have almost specialised in at times and there are special moments.

The two games against Lazio are likely to feature. Christopher Jullien at Celtic Park and Oli Ntcham in the Stadio Olympico.

It’s fun to look back on these moments for sure but again Celtic are behind the times when it comes to how they package and distribute their media.

We have been a huge proponent of an online service that would encompass old Celtic videos and DVDs in one easy to use platform.

Personally, I’ve not purchased a DVD in years and I’m unlikely going to head out to buy this latest offering for the price of £15 – especially when the footage is already all over the internet.

It’s time Celtic come into the digital age and show initiative. There’s huge untapped revenue in a Celtic streaming service – if done right.

To set something like that up, you need to put in the effort and money. The club seem content to continue punting DVDs rather than chase something new.

  1. I for one buy any and every piece of Celtic video material when I becomes available. One day the digital world will be denied us and where is our catalogue? Politicised behind a pay wall.
