While the Soro deal is concluded Neil Lennon has confirmed Celtic are not done yet in this transfer window and he wants to add one or two more players if he can.

Celtic signed Patryk Klimala this week and with Soro on the way we have two new recruits so far.

However, with a few outgoings there’s space in the squad. The Celtic boss was talking about adding experience in Dubai. With Klimala and Soro both 21, we don’t think he was alluding to either of these players.

Could there be some more reinforcements on the way who can hit the ground running for the rest of the season?

This is what Neil Lennon told RecordSport:

“We know the challenges that lie ahead of us, but these boys will give us a bit of depth, a bit of vitality and freshness.

“We’re looking to bring one or two others in as well.

“Sometimes it can make the difference if you get the right ones in.

“There’s a few that have gone out obviously and a few others with which there are deals ongoing and they may leave.

“It was important to trim the squad in that aspect.

“Then there’s obviously room to add to that.

“We don’t want a glut of players coming in either but we want maybe three or four to come in and tighten us up a little bit.”

Celtic are back in action on Saturday evening when they take on Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup. The Hoops have already knocked their fellow Glasgow side out of the League Cup earlier this campaign.

It will be an opportunity for Celtic to lay down a marker for the rest of the season.
