Neil Lennon responded to speculation over Charlton player Alfie Doughty after being asked about the club’s interest in the player.

Doughty has been heavily linked with Celtic but Neil Lennon wasn’t for talking about any specifics.

Celtic got rid of Boli Bolingoli last week which opens up a space in the squad for a left sided player. Alfie could play left wing back if brought into the club. Charlton seem reluctant to sell even though Doughty is in the last year of his deal with the English club.

The Celtic gaffer is obviously keen to bring someone into the squad who can fit into his 3-5-2 system.

The team hit five past Ross County on Saturday with the formation. Ajeti and Edouard both starting and getting on the score sheet. The bhoys are heading to St Mirren next with no new additions expected before then. The transfer window closes in early October.
