NEIL LENNON has told Celtic fans he’s had THREE separate chats with Olivier Ntcham since he returned to the club for pre-season.

Ntcham was put on the record as saying he would like a move away from Celtic Park during his time away from the club this summer. However, no bids have been forthcoming for the midfielder and Neil Lennon has revealed he’s been in dialogue with his player on more than one occasion about his mentality.

The Celtic manager puts it in a way where he’s not talking about briefly chatting to a player on the training field but an in-depth conversation to get the midfielders head right.

Ntcham had a great game against Kalju midweek and while Neil Lennon isn’t putting it down to his chats with the Frenchman, they couldn’t have hurt.

“I had a chat with him when he first came back, another chat during the week and again on the day of the game.” Lennon told SunSport.

“It was just about him in general and trying to get to know him a wee bit better.

“Whether that’s had any effect on his performance in Tallinn I don’t know, but I thought he was brilliant.”

It remains to be seen where Neil Lennon sees the player in the pecking order at Celtic Park. We’ll likely get a clearer view when the Irishman puts out his squad on flag day.
