NEIL LENNON doesn’t have an answer or a method to bring us out this slump.

The manager’s presser on Wednesday afternoon made that abundantly clear.

On several occasions, Neil was asked what he was doing to get the best out of his players and what had gone wrong. If you were looking for inspiration or a sign that he had a handle on things, you would’ve been sadly disappointed.

The manager is putting this simply down to a slump in form that all teams and all players go through at some point and he just needs to ride it out until they start playing better. That was his overall takeaway from what’s went on this season.

It’s incredible to think the manager has no real explanation for the dip in form or any real answer to give when it comes to getting back on the winning trail.

His answer is hope. He hopes the team can get through this, he hopes the players will start to respond to adversity and he hopes he can challenge for the title with this current side.

It’s not what you want in such a big season. The board backing Neil Lennon even though everything is pointing in the other direction is yet another symptom of why Celtic fans feel so hopeless and the protests continue.
