NEIL MCCANN is having to eat his own words this morning after he claimed fearful Celtic fans were bracing themselves for their rivals winning the treble.
Celtic haven’t had a good start to the season and perhaps that’s made some think it would be a clean sweep. However, thinking the Govan club were going to go from zero trophies to three in the space of twelve months was verging into cheerleader territory.
The former Dundee manager was on the record as saying he believes Brendan Rodgers Celtic invincible side could be achieved by the league leaders. It lasted until the quarter-final of the League Cup where they were put out by a hard working St Mirren side.
The League Cup trophy will be leaving Glasgow for the first time since 2016.
?️ 'There's now a real belief amongst pundits, Rangers fans and maybe even fearful Celtic fans that this Rangers side are the real deal. I believe they could emulate the Brendan Rodgers invincible team in the league' – Neil McCann

For Celtic, it shows this team can be got at, and this team has doubts. The bhoys have a cup final of their own on Sunday where they can win their fourth consecutive treble. As we’ve seen from the League Cup this season, winning a treble is not an easy feat, to win four back to back would be an incredible achievement.
There is a very slim line between being a shi7e manager and punditry. So keep up those quotes. He cannot be that far behind SUPER swally nor Kris ‘Cross’ Boyd in that respect. That’s what they all get (Slippy inc) for disrepecting St Mirren. As they where not ‘up for the league cup’. See what implodes first, slippy or the clockwork orange fans.
