With Greg Taylor cup tied for the League Cup it was Jonny Hayes who got the nod to give Boli Bolingoli the night off.
But it turns out we had a Taylor at left-back after all! Sort of.
Many eagle eyed Celtic fans noticed Jonny Hayes’ Celtic shirt looked a bit different from the rest of his team-mates and it appears the Irishman has taken it upon himself to adjust his shirt to suit.
The Celtic player had completely got rid of the collar or tucked it into his jersey giving it a very retro feel on the night. It looks that good we’re thinking about doing the same with our Hoops. I wonder if anybody at New Balance will be annoyed the player has made his own personal adjustments.
The home jersey hasn’t been universally accepted by the Celtic support and the last new Balance home jersey that really hit the spot was the gold trim hoops.
Jonny Hayes obviously doesn’t like to play with a collar, it could get annoying – especially at the speed he runs.
