Celtic have dropped their 22/23 Adidas home kit for next season and at first glimpse, it looks like it will split opinion.

Adidas have tried to do something different, which means some will like it and traditional Hoops supporters might be put off.

The club dropped this promotional video this morning.

It’s difficult to do something different with such an iconic design. Celtic are known for their famous green and white hoops across the globe.

We’ve been gauging immediate reaction on social media to the design and it’s not great viewing for Celtic and Adidas.

Perhaps it will grow on a lot of people. I’m of the opinion, if Celtic are successful in the jersey it will become part of our history and be a positive design. It’s the jersey we’ll be wearing at home for our three Champions League games later this year and it’s what we’ll be wearing to defend our title.

The club writes:

Continuing the retro theme and drawing inspiration from the success of seasons past, the new Home Kit gives a nod to both the ’88 and ’97 hoops in its detail, with a subtle pattern within the green hoops.

The fresh new shirt also features a grey star above the Celtic crest which sits proudly on the chest, with matching classic adidas three-stripe detailing to the shoulders.

You can pre-order this jersey on the Celtic store.
