Over the past few months, there has been much talk from supporters and, more recently, Ange Postecoglou surrounding the club’s rebuild.

The Celtic boss has been discussing the idea of bringing in more staff behind the scenes – from the recruitment side of things to analytics, with some work badly needing to be done to get the club running more like a modern football team.

We have seen some developments with the appointment of the new head of sports science, Anton McElhone. It appears he is getting to work alongside those already at Lennoxtown on new partnerships to improve that department.

The club announced this afternoon that they would be teaming up with Soccer Supplementa company that are experts in the field of football nutrition.

In a statement, we heard from both Celtic’s new head of sports science and also Soccer Supplement CEO James Olsen.

Anton McElhone said: “We are delighted to team up with Soccer Supplement, in a new partnership which we feel will bring our players and the Club in general real benefit.”

Olsen added: “We are really excited to begin our relationship with Celtic FC, and we look forward to working alongside the talent that they have, both with the players and the support staff.

“We have full confidence in the supplements that we produce and are delighted that everyone at Celtic can see the benefits that our tailored and Informed Sport® approved nutrition can offer them.”

It is good to see that we are beginning to take these sorts of steps to recruit people and create new partnerships, which will help us with things behind the scenes in the long run.

Hopefully, this is just the beginning, and we can see even more developments in the weeks and months to come.
