We have to make a lot of assumptions to form the following opinion and let’s be honest, the world of sport is very unpredictable at the moment.

Let’s first assume that Celtic win nine in a row, then let’s assume we have another season after this one sometime in August. Last but not least, let’s assume that Celtic manage to hold onto all the players in the current squad. It’s my opinion Celtic only need to make one signing to secure a never been done before ten in a row.

That signing should be for the centre back position. The champions were already skating on thin ice once they swapped to playing three centre backs. With only three out and out centre backs at the club once one got injured it was a patch-up job. Bitton is a decent defender and a decent backup. Elhamed can come in and do a job too but it is Celtic’s weakest position in terms of cover.

Both the wing-back positions have three players each to rotate and there is healthy competition for a starting place. Ajer and Jullien, on the other hand, are almost guaranteed a game every week, this won’t bring out the best in them.

If Neil Lennon could manage a similar signing to Jullien whenever the next transfer window is Celtic would be firm favourites for the illustrious ten.
