SFA CHIEF EXECUTIVE, Ian Maxwell has provided an update on what’s going on in Scottish football.

Maxwell outlined the discussions with UEFA and the European bodies preference to see all leagues come to a completion by the end of June.

However, when he was pressed about UEFA’S plan to play the Scotland vs Israel Euro qualifiers in June, Maxwell didn’t seem confident at all about that game being played.

If he’s not confident of one game being played in the month of June, what chance have we got of the last 8 league games of the season being played before then?

It just doesn’t seem plausible at this moment.

They have kicked the can further down the road with regards to what they will do if football can’t start up. UEFA seem to want leagues wrapped up regardless before the start of July when contracts run out etc.

So, we’re left with a decision on how to needled the season. UEFA don’t want null and void, they want winners and losers.
