Sheffield Wednesday defender Osaze Urhoghide has officially confirmed he would be departing the Owls after his contract expired, amidst links to a possible move to Celtic.
Reports earlier today suggested that the Hoops beat off competition from the likes of Crystal Palace and Benfica, to name a few – winning the race to sign the 20-year old. [Glasgow Live]
He looks to have added fuel to those rumours, too, by wishing his goodbyes to the club, who were last season relegated from the English Championship.
Thank you Sheffield Wednesday and all those involved over the last two years from staff to fans. Since my debut at Brighton away to the Yorkshire derby win at Leeds, it’s given me memories that will last a lifetime.@swfc pic.twitter.com/87ghtc8FET

Urhoghide would be the second piece of summer business completed by the club and also the second player to sign from Sheffield Wednesday, joining his former teammate Liam Shaw in Glasgow.
The 20-year old can play both centre-back and right-back. These two positions are badly needed at the club right now, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see someone in that area sign.
Some may question whether Urhoghide is the right man for that job or if we should be pursuing someone more experienced, but only time will tell.
