As if we didn’t have enough to chew on when it came to the Ibrox club, we now have Steven Gerrard’s mates from down south claiming there’s an agenda against him up here.

Former Liverpool teammate Robbie Fowler has claimed there’s an agenda against Gerrard in Scotland. He points to advancement in Europe as why he has been a success having not a clue about the pressure cooker Scottish football and Glasgow can be when you don’t challenge for the league.

“In Scotland, I know there are plenty of agendas – and Steven knows that, too. There are a lot of people who want to see a name like him fail.” Fowler told RecordSport.

“If Stevie wins two more games, then he’ll have more points and be in a better position than the Rangers team in the two seasons before he arrived at the club.

“So there’s progress.”

So Stevie’s aware of the agenda too. The agenda has saw his team drop 13 points since the beginning of 2020. The agenda has thrown his players under the bus numerous times and the agenda against him won’t give him a pat on the back for going two seasons without a trophy. Poor wee fella.

We’d flip it around and say there’s a lot in English football that aren’t paying attention to what’s going on here and a lot of them are trying to salvage Gerrard’s reputation. Telling us how lucky we are to have this guy in Scottish football, Celtic fans might agree with that though.

There’s plenty of people who would like to see Celtic lose the league but that’s not stopped the bhoys from marching onwards.
