CELTIC FANS were delighted to see Leigh Griffiths get his first Celtic hattrick in four years against St Mirren on Saturday afternoon.

The wee man has been through a lot the past 18 months, struggling with mental health issues and his own personal fitness.

He struggled in the first part of the season to get into Neil Lennon’s side but since the start of this year, a new 3-5-2 formation has aided the revival of Leigh at Celtic.

It was back in January when former Ibrox player and Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd tried to tear into the striker when Leigh shushed Boyd during the Killie game.

An irate Kris Boyd was adamant Leigh’s coat was on a shaky peg and with anger on his face said he had four weeks to save his Celtic career.

Well, Leigh has now scored more goals in 2020 than Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Jermaine Defoe, Greg Stewart and Flo Kamberi COMBINED! Let that sink in,

Many supporters were happy to point out how much of a fool Boyd looks now.
